The Master's Degree in Transnational Business Law and Digital Technologies aims to offer an innovative training offer in the field of Private International Law, International Business Law, Company Law, European Union Law and in the field of legal problems arising from the use of digital technologies, which are studied transversally in all subjects. By covering contents of International Law, Portuguese Law and Spanish Law, it aims to train Law graduates to exercise a legal profession, in general, in the international labor market and, specifically, in Portugal and Spain, aiming to cover to students from Portuguese-speaking countries and Hispanic countries, promoting a common legal identity and a reflection on the legal problems shared by the legal systems that make up this universe.
However, the current regulatory framework, both at the community level and in Spain and Portugal, is far from being consolidated. The fundamental rights or the rights of workers can be affected, both by business activity and administrations if digital technologies are not used responsibly and reliably, for which an efficient legal framework is required. For this reason, the need arises for graduates in Law to have sufficient skills to function in digitized work environments or that demand the resolution of legal problems linked to digital technologies. The current reality of the Galicia-North Portugal Euroregion shows that there is an increasing number of companies that provide services in one country from another, companies with headquarters in Galicia and Portugal at the same time, and cross-border workers. The legal relationships derived from this reality affect, therefore, the exercise of the legal profession in its different aspects in view of the demand for professionals with solid knowledge of the company that operates in both countries. The Master provides solid legal training on the law of digital technologies and cross-border law, providing students with sufficient skills so that they can successfully function in the new digital age.
The Master's Degree in Transnational Business Law and Digital Technologies also aims to provide students with skills for scientific research in Law.
