Introduction
The Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence is an inter-university degree, taught by the Universities of A Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo, which is proposed as a complete program for the training of professionals and entrepreneurs in this branch of knowledge.
The advancement of new technologies and the development of intelligent systems require professionals with skills in numerous fields: computer science, mathematics, statistics and business. The objectives of the Master's study plan are the following:
- Train professionals with the ability to develop intelligent systems to help in decision-making at a scientific and business level.
- The student of this Master will be able to generate practical solutions to technological, business and social problems.
- Combining the study of subjects such as mathematics and computer science, with advanced management of the new digital information and communication technologies (statistics, artificial intelligence, autonomous learning...) the students who graduate from this degree will become a very attractive profile. when it comes to meeting the needs that are occurring in the labor market.
The training of this Master will cover the needs of various business sectors that increasingly require experts in the development of intelligent systems. The latest studies that were published highlight this profession as one of the most demanded and best paid.
This Master has a teaching load of 90 ECTS and is taught over three semesters (a year and a half). The degree is attached to the branch of Engineering and Architecture.

Curriculum
The study plan of the Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence is made up of subjects of different types:
- Compulsory: 36 ECTS
- Electives: 36 ECTS
- External internships: 6 ECTS
- Master's Thesis (TFM): 12 ECTS
To obtain the Master's degree, the student must pass 90 ECTS (36 compulsory, 36 optional, 6 from professional practices and 12 from the TFM) spread over three semesters.
One ECTS credit is equivalent to 25 hours of student work (which are divided into face-to-face and non-face-to-face activities).
