Introduction
The course addresses the potential of bioeconomy, conceived as a new emerging techno-productive paradigm, to underpin economic, socially inclusive, and environmentally sustainable development processes in Argentina and other Latin American countries whose economies rely largely on the use of resources natural renewable. It presumes familiarity with concepts about economic development, proposing at the same time an interdisciplinary approach that allows capturing its complexity in the current context of accelerated and deep technological changes, permanent innovation in the modes of organization of production and markets, and growing importance of environmental sustainability.
