Introduction

The need to preserve the planet and guarantee a strong economy for current and future generations is what has led the European Commission to promote the “ Green Deal ” which highlights the need to advance the transition from the current production model based on a Linear Economy to a Circular model.

This transition requires innovative engineering solutions that require a new way of thinking. Circular Engineering could therefore be considered as a new branch of engineering dedicated to sustainable production , energy efficiency and eco-design , and is based on feedback and minimizing environmental impact.

Students will acquire knowledge of the design of environmentally sustainable industrial processes, selection of circular materials and energy efficiency, according to the most demanding economic criteria and legislation that is sensitive to environmental and sustainability issues, and will be able to make decisions according to design criteria, properties and costs .

This master's degree is supported by some of the country's most important companies and institutions, such as Coca-Cola Europe, Acciona, Recyclia, the Circular Economy Foundation and the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Madrid.
