Introduction

This postgraduate program guides the training of human resources, directing the civil engineering area towards the specialization of professionals in structural, construction and environmental engineering, capable of participating in the different phases of the design, construction and maintenance of buildings, as well as in the management of work and its waste, with a vision of creating a first world society and achieving sustainable building models that are characterized by presenting during their construction and operation: energy savings, optimization of natural and human resources, and a minimization of waste.

LINES OF INVESTIGATION

  1. Earth Science Application
  2. Structures and Construction
  3. Hydraulic Resources Engineering and Environmental Engineering

The lines of research of the Master's Degree in Civil Engineering correspond to those cultivated by the academic body of Studies and Projects in Civil Engineering, and which are recognized by the (PROMEP) as Lines of Generation and Application of Knowledge (LGAC).

General purpose

Train professionals of a high academic level in the Environmental, Construction and Structures areas, with knowledge that allows them to implement and create innovative methodologies for their professional practice, as well as for solving problems inherent to the discipline, through planning, design , execution, construction and supervision of civil works and plumbing infrastructure, supported by the application or generation of knowledge for the economic development of the region and the country.

Particular objectives

Master in Civil Engineering with option: Environmental

Train professionals of a high academic level with the knowledge that allows them to plan, design, execute, supervise, build, and efficiently operate the urban hydrosanitary infrastructure necessary in modern cities, through specialized knowledge and innovative methodologies, in accordance with legislation and policies. in environmental matters, which allow assessing the trajectory and behavior of surface and groundwater in different environmental scenarios. As well as, they will be able to generate knowledge that allows the development, adaptation and application of technologies in the solution of specific environmental problems for the development of the region and the country.

Master in Civil Engineering with option: Construction

Train professionals of a high academic level capable of planning, designing, executing, supervising the different processes and building the necessary works, through specialized knowledge, innovative methodologies and the use of technological tools currently demanded by the construction industry; as well as, they will be able to propose sustainable materials and technologies for construction through the generation of knowledge or technological development in accordance with the current regulatory framework for the adequate economic development of the region and the country.

Master in Civil Engineering with option to: Structures

Train professionals of a high academic level capable of planning, designing, executing, building and supervising the different processes related to professional performance, proposing solutions that guarantee the integrity of the structures and the safety of the users, with analytical and numerical training in the characterization of structural materials and their application in the design of structural systems. Likewise, with the necessary skills to evaluate and diagnose the physical and structural state of existing constructions and through appropriate techniques to reinforce, rehabilitate or repair said structures.
