What does the master consist of?
This research-oriented master's degree trains people to work with top-level scientific and technological infrastructures in marine aquaculture. Research lines include: Food and Nutrition, Aquarium Science, Final product quality, Cultivation and production of marine organisms, including new species, Aquaculture facilities, Genetic improvement, Environmental management, Animal health and welfare.
Who teaches it?
This master's degree is coordinated by the Aquaculture Research Group of the University Institute of Sustainable Marine Ecosystems and Aquaculture (IU-ECOAQUA), with the collaboration of the International Center for Higher Mediterranean Agricultural Studies (CIHEAM), through the Mediterranean Agricultural Institute of Zaragoza. The ULPGC doctoral faculty from the departments of Biology, Animal Pathology, Animal Production, and Food Science and Technology, Quantitative Methods in Economics and Management, as well as more than 20 specialist professors from national and foreign centers.
How do I prepare it?
You will learn on your own (autonomous student work) by attending master classes, classroom practices, seminars, directed work, tutorials and evaluation activities. This title is face-to-face, in each subject you will be asked for a minimum level of assistance. You have the Virtual Campus platform for academic and administrative procedures. On this platform, the submission of jobs, the request for virtual tutorials, the download of agendas or the participation in forums, among other functions, are enabled. We offer you, through the University Library, face-to-face and virtual access to the information you need.
