Introduction

The 1st year of the master's (M1) is distinguished by its general and fundamental character, broad-spectrum, and variety of courses. Multi-located on three sites (Orsay-Cachan, Evry, Versailles), it aims to give all students a solid foundation in all areas of the specialization: automatic control, electronics, industrial computing, computer engineering, electrical energy, and processing signal and image. It also aims to enable students to understand the interactions between these fields. The fundamental aspects are presented in the 1st semester in teaching units (UE), relating to each discipline. In the 2nd semester, an optional teaching unit offer associated with the different sites' specialities, allows students to deepen some of the disciplinary sectors mentioned above and discover new ones. They are divided into thematic blocks opening to different M2 courses.

The educational path organization allows periods of the study carried out abroad, after the agreement of various actors from partner institutions/courses.

An educational agreement provides for the duration and nature (teaching, internship, or research activities) of the mobility carried out abroad.

In case of validation of his study period by the foreign institution, the student then benefits from the credits corresponding to this study period based on 30 credits for all the teaching units of a semester.

The master benefits from an exceptional and dynamic research environment. The laboratories on which it is based have recognition at the best international level. At the Paris-Saclay level, its themes also correspond to various laboratories of excellence, flagship projects, or subjects dealt with by the SystemX Technological Research Institute.
