Introduction
Everything in our environment, from objects to spaces, has been designed with one goal: to improve people's lives and adapt to a constantly changing social environment. Design, crucial in defining trends in the entire productive fabric, permeates all aspects of our existence, from product packaging to the spaces where we live and work. Only a functional and attractive design ensures a viable future for any space.
Interior design, today, is more than a simple aesthetic tool; It has become an engine of change for habits, work environments or the corporate image that we wish to project. In recent decades, the perception of design has evolved, with sustainability and creativity being essential pillars for any project.
The Master in Interior Design focuses on the comprehensive training of professionals, preparing the student to meet the demands of the current market: from residential and hotel projects to public and ephemeral spaces. Taking sustainability as a transversal factor, this program offers a range of subjects that encourage creativity and provide essential technical knowledge to delve into the reality of work, training its students to exceed client expectations with creativity and technical precision.

Matter M1. Historical evolution of interior and furniture design
Knowing our history is an essential basis for our development. An exhaustive review of furniture design from antiquity to the effervescent design of the 20th and 21st centuries, and a study of the history of interior design, also focused on the last century and a half.
Matter M2. Design of residential and hotel spaces
The first thing is to design our closest habitat. The places where we live and stay. We will delve into residential design with special attention to versatility, multifunctionality, new lifestyles, and the growing importance of living impressive experiences in the hotel field.
Matter M3. Digital treatment
An advanced subject on the digital processing of 3D images and the presentation of projects. Digital retouching, rendering and realistic lighting, which will be achieved through the Photoshop, VRay Lights, MEsh Light and Sview programs.
Matter M4. Application of materials for interior design
In creating sensations through interior design projects, the choice of materials is going to be key because they are going to impact us in different ways depending on their textures, colors, grains, feel and even smells. You will identify the properties of natural and non-natural materials, you will learn about continuous paints and coatings, you will learn to choose carpentry and locksmith shops, and you will delve into new ecological materials and biomaterials.
Matter M5. Advanced lighting design
Having the ability to design good lighting can be what sets a good designer apart from the rest. With light we create atmospheres, contrasts, sensations, mystery.
Lighting allows us to stand out, guide, point out, reveal, astonish. In this matter the wonderful world of light will be revealed to you. Its properties and parameters, lighting methods and types of luminaires. Calculation methods. You will end up designing lighting projects that will make the difference.
Matter M6. Design of public and ephemeral spaces
Interior design for public spaces is in growing demand. Shops and offices have learned the importance that design has in increasing their sales or the productivity of their employees. Even centers dependent on public administrations want to adapt to a world with a new aesthetic. You will learn to design these places for a high number of users. But life in the city is full of events, presentations, fairs, advertising events, celebrations... Public spaces have a new dimension, the importance of ephemeral installations leads them to be included in a part of this matter.
Matter M7. Fundamentals of sustainability and biophilic design
There is no turning back. Sustainability, energy savings, natural materials and bioclimatic design have been introduced into interior design projects because society is crying out for it. This subject introduces you to how to design energy-efficient, bioclimatic spaces, what facilities to include for the lowest possible consumption, and what materials are most respectful of nature. But we also emphasize a rising trend: biophilic design, which understands the need that human beings have for contact with nature, and therefore to introduce it into their daily environment.
Matter M8. Construction systems and facilities
Aside from knowledge of materials, a solvent interior designer must know the construction systems to develop the works. This subject provides knowledge about structure, exterior enclosures and interior partitions, false ceilings, stairs, and all the necessary installations in a current space such as air conditioning, home automation, electricity, or plumbing and sanitation installations.
Matter M9. External academic internships
The essential contact with real work, where you will acquire practice in working in multidisciplinary teams, in facing challenges and difficulties, and you will carry out multiple tasks such as drafting and layout of projects, writing reports, creating constructive solutions or measuring spaces.
Matter M10. Master's Final Project
A complete supervised project, in which you will have to investigate, look for references, develop creative ideas, prepare technical plans and reports, and defend it orally before a court, developing all the skills that you will need in your future professional activity.
