UCPEL- Catholic University Of Pelotas
About
Created on October 7, 1960, the Catholic University of Pelotas is the oldest higher education institution in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. Conceived by Dom Antônio Zattera, the Catholic - as it is affectionately called - was born and remains a community. By forming leaders, committed to acting in favor of social and human development, UCPel has become a reference in the southern region of the state. All knowledge developed within the institution has the objective of contributing to the communities around it. As it is a community institution, it is primarily focused on educational actions of a social nature. Thus, as it is not for profit, it allocates part of its revenue to education and social assistance activities, such as scholarships, free assistance in hospitals, clinics, legal assistance, among other services.
