Introduction

Future Mobility is an interdisciplinary field of study for engineers wishing to gain knowledge, skills, and competencies in the design, optimization, and management of future and current mobility infrastructures. Our mission is to educate professionals who will create new transport that is easy, productive, safe, and environmentally friendly.

Our lecturers will introduce you to the world of:

  • Vehicle construction and operation. You will learn about different types of vehicles, including electric and autonomous vehicles, as well as traditional modes of transport such as cars, buses, and even aircraft. Through classes in dynamics or mechatronics, you will learn how a pilot controls a helicopter and aircraft. You will also learn about the materials and technologies used in the design and construction of vehicles;
  • Electric and autonomous vehicles. You will learn about the benefits and challenges of electric and autonomous vehicles. You will learn about the infrastructure needed to support these vehicles, including energy storage systems, charging stations, and communication networks;
  • The role of artificial intelligence in mobility. You will learn about the application possibilities of artificial intelligence for predictive maintenance and optimization of vehicle movement. You will learn about machine learning, image recognition, and natural language processing, as well as the ethical issues related to the application of artificial intelligence in transport;
  • Data analytics. You will learn about the importance of data for future mobility. From collecting and analyzing data on traffic patterns and vehicle performance to using data to improve transport planning.
  • 5G and ICT technologies. We will teach you how to use 5G and ICT technologies for vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication, as well as in support of real-time traffic management and remote vehicle control.

Future Mobility is a multidisciplinary approach to studying, drawing on knowledge from a range of disciplines, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science. Many laboratory and project activities are carried out with industrial partners. Internships and placements in cutting-edge industries will give you hands-on experience, while research projects and design challenges will help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in this new field. With us, you will create new jobs and develop capabilities that respond to the growing demand and evolving technology of the transport services market.
