Course Requirements

Course Details
Our MSc Corporate Financial Management degree has been designed for those interested in a future career in banking, personal and corporate finance, or as an accountant. It offers an excellent foundation for your career or further study. We want to ensure that our courses give you the best possible chance of achieving your career ambitions, which is why we have built useful projects and strategies into the program. As well as gaining a formal qualification, this course allows you to develop sought-after transferable skills and build a skills portfolio that you can show to future employers.
We are focused on the student learning experience and want to ensure that our graduates are career-ready, with the knowledge, skills, and attributes that employers demand. Our teaching staff have extensive practical experience, and you will be taught in small group sizes that encourage a good learning relationship with lecturers.
Placement Year
Choose to study the optional Placement Year for the opportunity to gain significant practical skills and elevate your career. Employers are looking for graduates with a business-ready mindset; this entails an understanding of business ethics and values, self-awareness, mental flexibility, openness, resilience, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
So how does it work?
Having completed the first year of studies, the second year will be spent on placement in employment. Whilst you will be responsible for finding your placement, you will be fully supported by a Placement Tutor and our dedicated Business Employability Team. Throughout the year, you will receive monthly coaching from a Placement Tutor to help accelerate skills development and self-awareness within a work environment, complementing the knowledge gained from our academic courses, for a minimum of 30 weeks. You will be allowed to transfer to the placement version of your MSc within a period during your first year of studies.
Our placement year courses are open to everyone including international students, who can contact our International Office for specific advice and guidance.
Should you be unable to complete the full program, you may still be awarded a Diploma or Certificate depending on the terms completed.
