Degrees offered include the Bachelor of Theology, the Master of Divinity, and the Master of Sacred Theology. We are affiliated with McGill University, a top North American institution. Our tuition fees are competitive. The Presbyterian College welcomes students from all denominations and from around the globe. Our student body includes those from Taiwan, Nepal, USA, Canada, South Korea, Nigeria, and other countries. We also have students from Baptist, Pentecostal, and other denominations. You will find a warm welcome here and will be equipped for ministry. At present, all programs offered in affiliation with McGill University are eligible for the Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP). This means that following your studies you may apply for a work permit to remain in Canada for work experience. In relation to the Bachelor of Theology program, you may also pursue a minor concentration in such areas as Psychology, History, Economics, Social Entrepreneurship, and in other areas. You have a vision for service and for a vocation, and we are here to equip and support your vision. The college is located in the city of Montreal, a dynamic and beautiful city in Canada. Montreal is a diverse city, with people from all around the world, speaking both English and French. English is the primary language in Montreal. In this city enjoy great food, cultural events, and lovely neighbourhoods. The cost of living in Montreal is very inexpensive—among the least expensive places to live in Canada. It is truly a livable city. For students pursuing the MDiv, this program is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) the premiere accrediting body for theological education. This degree is recognized across many denominations.
Introducing The Presbyterian College
With a dynamic and global student body, The Presbyterian College is a historic center of theological education. Students with a vision for service to the church and community are equipped through relevant academic programs and rich community life. The College is open to students from around the world and from a whole variety of theological traditions and denominations. The motto of the College is “Holding forth the word of life,” taken from Paul’s letter to the Philippians (2:16) These words express our commitment to God’s life-giving Word in Christ and expressed in the scriptures.
Programs of the college, offered in collaboration with McGill University, are eligible for the Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) at the present time.
Our programs are also accredited through the Associatoin of Theological Schools (ATS) the foremost accrediting body for theological schools in North America.
Our academic programs include:
- Bachelor of Theology (4-year undergraduate degree)
- Bachelor of Theology (2-year undergraduate, with previous bachelors)
- Master of Divinity (a 3-year professional degree for ministry)
- Diploma in Ministry (a 1-year professional year following previous theology studies)
- Master of Sacred Theology (a 2-year advanced academic degree)
- Masters of Theological Studies (a 2-year French-language masters in practical theology)
International Students in these programs pay tuition and fees that are only slightly more than those paid by Canadian Students—some of the most competitive tuition fees in North America.

We are located in the world-class, cosmopolitan city of Montreal, Quebec, which contains a beautiful mix of cultures alongside the majority of French and English populations. Our programs are run in affiliation with the School of Religious Studies at McGill University, which is one of Canada's best-known institutions of higher learning and one of the leading universities in the world. With students coming to McGill from over 150 countries, our student body is the most internationally diverse of any research-intensive university in the country.

Admissions
Application Details
Programs of The Presbyterian College are offered collaboratively between McGill University and The Presbyterian College—as a result, two applications must be submitted. One to each institution.
Applications must be accompanied by:
- Official transcripts from prior post-secondary programs
- Two reference letters, one which is a pastoral reference (indicating your involvement and service in the church) and another which is an academic reference (indicating your academic abilities).
Applicants to The Presbyterian College will also be asked to provide a personal statement of their Christian faith, and of their intentions for Christian service in the church or in the wider community.
