Overview

The intensive M.A. in Nonprofit Management and Leadership is a joint venture of Hebrew U's Rothberg International School (RIS) and the Paul Baerwald School of Social Work and Social Welfare. As a participant in this program, you’ll be equipped with the skills you need to become a leader in the nonprofit world, with a focus on civil society and social change.

The program offers

Study tours: Tour-based courses are offered in which students visit various Israeli nonprofit organizations and meet with staff and volunteers as well as community boards in Jerusalem. in order to gain a deeper understanding of how nonprofits are run.

Internships: Students complete a mandatory 4-credit professional internship once a week at a nonprofit organization in the Jerusalem or Tel Aviv areas.

Other: Students complete a mandatory Project Workshop course in which they work as a team to develop and launch a community-based nonprofit project of their own. Students also have the option to study Modern Hebrew during the autumn and spring semesters at no extra cost.
