Introduction
The Master in Teaching (MiT) program is a full-time, cohort-based graduate education program designed to be completed in four academic quarters. With a focus on social justice and a community-responsive curriculum, new teachers enter the classroom prepared to inspire social change.
Community empowerment can begin in the classroom. Join a rigorous, hands-on program that focuses on the vital roles teachers play in their communities. With support from your faculty, cohort, and community mentors, you’ll be ready to make your classroom an influential learning community for all your students. You’ll learn how to produce a community-responsive curriculum yourself, broadening your understanding of the potential teachers have to empower students and support a participatory democracy through work both in and out of the classroom.
