Introduction
The course is designed to appeal to graduates of accounting, finance or business management awards.
The first four modules of the award form the base of your studies and provide a solid grounding in the key aspects of accounting and finance. Thereafter, you will study traditional and contemporary theoretical aspects of accounting and finance.
The award includes a number of distinctive modules e.g. the Accounting Theory module addresses the underlying principles that lead to accounting conventions; the Portfolio module looks at the construction of an investment portfolio. The option module gives you the opportunity to explore an accounting and finance area that particularly interests you, while the research-based dissertation allows you to further your knowledge in an area of interest which supports your career ambitions, or explore an area in which you would like to extend your research further at PhD level.
