    In the fall of 2016, the north wing of Human Sciences was opened, moving the school into offices on the third floor and opening new facilities for our students. These new facilities provide students with a multitude of opportunities and hands-on learning experiences including:

      Majors in the Spears School of Business can apply for several different scholarships. One Spears Business application is used for selection for most scholarships. Most scholarships are awarded during the spring semester for the upcoming academic year. One-half of the scholarship is disbursed into the student’s bursar accounts at the beginning of each semester (Fall/Spring) after the drop/add period ends.

      A student must maintain scholarship criteria to retain the scholarship(s) for the awarded year and re-application for the following year is required for future scholarship awards. Students are considered for scholarships based on GPA, financial need determined by the FAFSA, activities, or other criteria such as hometown or major (as indicated below) when required by the donor. The amount of each scholarship is determined by the program or based on remaining needs and other scholarships received.

      An involved, active network of Spears Business alumni and friends benefits our students through mentoring relationships and enhanced educational opportunities both on and off campus. Through the contributions of time, expertise, and financial resources, OSU business graduates and supporters make many of the academic programs at Spears Business possible, while the business insights and connections they share give our students a competitive advantage when they enter the job market.

        Spears Business is among the top five percent of schools offering business degrees. Since 1958, all academic programs in Spears Business have been accredited by the AACSB International, considered the highest standard for quality in business education. More than 835 business institutions in more than 55 countries and territories have earned AACSB accreditation, but only 189 institutions – including Spears Business – hold the additional, specialized AACSB accreditation for their accounting programs.
