Master in Russian Cultural Studies

The cultural study is a special field of interdisciplinary approaches to culture and society analysis. The program is aimed at the Russian socio-cultural phenomenon research that covers such significant issues as history, religion, literature, philosophy, architecture, art, and peculiarities of the Russian cultural archetype.

Why our program?

This program is suited for foreign students with basic knowledge of Russian and Russian Culture. While the program is realized in English, students are given the opportunity to learn the Russian Language and choose courses taught in Russian in the 2nd year of the program. Studying for a Master’s degree also includes research into National Identity, Cultural Industries in Russia, Russian Political History, Russian Art, Russian Cinema, Don Cossacks culture, especially focuses on the cultural background of Soviet and Post-Communist Russia.
