Real-life Exposure to Business. Students of the MSc in Management (MiM) programme have the opportunity to undertake an internship with a broad range of companies based in Singapore. Besides gaining valuable experience and insights into working in Singapore, students also have the chance to build networks and lay the foundation for an accelerated career path ahead.
Global Asian-focused Management Curriculum. Focused on Global Asia, case studies that are written by SMUs based on Asian companies and other companies operating in Asia, and the business challenges they face will be featured in the MiM programme. These cases provide valuable insights about what’s going on in Asia right now for our MiM students and provide a solid foundation towards their transition to the business world. Moreover, all the subjects are presented in the contemporary context of sustainability and ethical leadership reflecting trends in good management practice that will put our students ahead of the competition.
World-Class Faculty. The MiM is taught in collaboration with senior faculty members selected from SMU Lee Kong Chian School of Business. Our team of distinguished faculty has been handpicked to promote excellence in teaching and research at SMU. Besides some of the best academics and educators in their specialised fields, SMU also taps on industry practitioners for their specific expertise and management experience, offering its candidates both academic rigour and industry insights.
Flexible Learning Options. Full-time programme (18 months). Study in our beautiful city campus located in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD) while experiencing SMU’s distinctive and interactive seminar-style learning. No matter which format, our hallmark pedagogy of interactive seminars, presentations and project-based assessments develops graduates who are proactive, analytical, creative, articulate and adaptable.

Programme Highlights
Internship
Meld academic concepts with actual business situations and put knowledge into practice with a minimum 10-week internship (depending on employer requirements). This includes a stipend ranging from S$1,200 to S$1,500* per month.

Consulting Project
Make an impact even before graduation as you apply academic theories to tackle business challenges with a real business client. Designed based on our unique SMU-X pedagogy, the Project is a project-based learning experience which encourages students to acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems.
Global Exposure
Experience the culture of ASEAN countries through company visits and explore how cultural, legal, and sociopolitical environments influence business practices through the Business Study Mission or pursue electives in our partner schools in the global MiM network comprising of London Business School or Imperial College Business School in the United Kingdom, ESMT Berlin in Germany, and Smith School of Business at Queen’s University in Canada.
The programme curriculum consists of 16 Credit Units (CU): Postgraduate Professional Development course (1 CU) + Programme Core (8 CU) + Track Electives (4 CU) + Immersion (1 CU) + Open Modules (2 CU).
