Introduction
The master's degree in Technological Management and Entrepreneurship is an educational proposal from a critical, creative and avant-garde academy, which keeps pace with the current world and co-creates a program that responds to the requirements of the knowledge society. It is a higher education program at the master's level, with bilingual activities and virtual content, aimed at meeting the needs and challenges of development and innovation in Colombia and in the world, which integrates knowledge from engineering and other areas, acquiring a character transdisciplinary.
Management and technological entrepreneurship is a field of engineering that results from the combination of disciplines and practices of industrial, systems, electronic, electrical, mechanical, and administrative engineering; it is considered an “emerging denomination” because it has few precedents in Colombia. Worldwide it is a better-known name, and in Latin America so far its presence in Chile stands out. Some related names of this program are Technological Business Management, Engineering Management, Innovation, and Technological Entrepreneurship; Design engineering and development of products and services. Other names that are related in some way are business engineering with information technology or Engineering with innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Master's Degree in Technological Management and Entrepreneurship has among its challenges that of helping Colombia move to an economy based on innovation, for this it focuses on Startups or technological ventures with global markets, unlike traditional ventures whose focus is an economy based on efficiency.
