Introduction
The Master in Environmental Management and Control has been offering a high-level postgraduate course in the field of environmental sustainability for almost thirty years, through continuous and accurate updating. The Master has integrated its teachings by addressing the theme of the circular economy, in consideration of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and moving within the logic of the economic transitions underway: circularity, energy transition, decarbonization and their geo-political, economic, social and environmental implications.
Thanks to its interdisciplinary approach, the opportunities to develop innovative skills in close contact with research and operational realities , the laboratory and internship activities, the Geca Master trains professionals and sustainability managers , capable of defining and implementing strategies and tools to support circular and efficient management of resources, with specific skills in waste, water, energy and natural capital management and who can contribute to supporting businesses and organizations in the creation of a circular and sustainable economy.

Scholarships and Funding
Numerous contributions to cover all or part of the registration fee are provided by public or private entities, partners of the Master in Environmental Management and Control - Geca. The assignment will be made on the basis of the selection ranking or any requirements requested by the funding bodies.
Curriculum
Il Master garantisce una formazione di eccellenza a coloro che intendano operare a vario titolo in settori e attività in cui sia cruciale l’approccio circolare all’economia e la gestione efficiente delle risorse in una prospettiva di sostenibilità ambientale e ciclo integrato, con particolare riferimento ai settori dei rifiuti, dell’acqua, dell’energia e dei servizi ecosistemici.
Graduates with a Master's degree can hold managerial and professional roles in private companies operating in the industrial, financial and service sectors, as well as in public administration, with a job placement rate of over 90%.
The teaching activity is frontal, with classroom lessons and exercises, supported by on-site visits to institutional offices and companies in the sector. The training path also includes the analysis of case studies and the development of research projects in the Master's laboratories, aiming to enhance the organizational and relational skills of individual students included in the work groups. The course is completed by a series of seminars and debate meetings with experts and former students who have distinguished themselves in the sector. Overall, the teaching phase includes 650 hours, divided into two parts: "Fundamentals and management of resources and transitions" and "Green Management & Circular Economy".
The internship program at the Master's partner companies and institutions will begin in March and at least every two weeks, alternating with the classroom training phase. The program will continue even after the classroom training ends, that is, in the period September-December 2025, until the completion of the 450 hours necessary for the acquisition of the CFU related to the internship.
At the end of the internship phase, participants are required to present a project work on the activity carried out, which constitutes the final test for obtaining the qualification.
