Earn a Masters in BIO³ at Open FIESTA Tsinghua University in Shenzhen

Open FIESTA Master Programs are between 2 and 2.5 years in duration. Students study at the Graduate School in Shenzhen, at Tsinghua University in the first year, and at CRI in Paris in the second year. The study location in the third year can be optional for the students. During this year, students work to prepare for their graduation, including a graduation project, dissertation, and so on.

Students who intend to get dual degree from Tsinghua University and the University of Paris Descartes or Paris Diderot will have to enroll at both universities.

Open FIESTA Master Programs are between 2 and 2.5 years in duration. Open FIESTA will admit up to 15 international (non-Chinese) students for each Master program in 2017.

The students with a Bachelor’s degree or supposing to attain a Bachelor’s degree before July 2017 can apply for Open FIESTA Master’s program. Outstanding students have opportunities to immediately study in Open FIESTA through graduate candidates exempt from admission exam.

For BIO3 (Bio-Nano-Info) Master Program: applicants in the areas of life science, physics, chemistry, material sciences, mathematical sciences, electronics, computer sciences, Nano science and technique are all eligible.

Since this program is delivered in English, the applicants should be able to adapt to an English studying environment.

Admissions Option 2

The students who meet all requirements for graduation at both schools will be awarded dual Master degrees.

Program Outcome

Open FIESTA Institution Scholarship is designed to sponsor the students’ tuition fees and part of living expenses. The Institution Scholarship is awarded every year after the entrance. In addition to this scholarship, international students are eligible for many other full and partial scholarships at FIESTA.

Schwarzman Scholars is a one year fully-funded master’s program in global affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China. As the first scholarship created to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the 21st century, Schwarzman Scholars aspires to build a global network of young leaders who will work together to deepen understanding between China and the rest of the world. Each year, up to 200 candidates are chosen for this highly selective program. Scholars are selected based on their leadership qualities and the potential to understand and bridge cultural and political differences. They live in Beijing for a year of intensive study, honing leadership skills through a curriculum designed and taught by leading academics from internationally ranked institutions. Though classes are taught in English, international students are required to study Mandarin. Scholars also spend considerable time outside the classroom in cultural immersion to develop a better understanding of China – attending lectures, workshops, and discussion groups; and being mentored and advised by leaders across sectors.
