Introduction
The Master of Science Program in Economics at Sapienza University of Rome provides students with a sound knowledge of economic analysis and quantitative methods for economics. Graduates will be able to interpret the economic mechanisms and understand the behavior and the decision process of economic agents and financial institutions. They will also develop the ability to analyze the functioning of markets and forecast the future evolution of economic and financial variables. Interdisciplinarity and the international orientation of the Program are indeed among its strengths. As for the work opportunities, they are largely focused on jobs with a strong emphasis on economic and financial analysis. Typically, career opportunities for our graduates in Economics are available at policy institutions, international organizations, financial and non-financial corporations, consulting firms, research centers, and regulatory authorities.

Program Outcome
Learning outcomes
The Master's Degree in Economics aims to provide students with a sound knowledge of models for economic analysis supported by adequate skills in the use of quantitative analysis tools. It aims to train Economic Researchers with well-grounded knowledge in the fields of Law/Institutions, Business Administration/Management, Mathematics/Statistics, able to carry out, at a high technical-professional level, the following tasks:
- Identify and analyze economic factors relevant to operational decisions
- Design and develop market studies and macroeconomic reviews
- Develop and manage business strategies, (particularly in the financial sector), and public decision-making in different policy areas, including welfare and social security
- Innovate and develop economic analysis tools
- Coordinate interdisciplinary working groups, to assess the impact of economic policy on productivity growth in specific sectors
- Coordinate and manage working groups to explore macroeconomic and sector scenarios for economic decisions of public institutions and private businesses, in national and supranational contexts
- Assess stakeholder behavior in response to intervention strategies and objectively orient their decisions

Career Opportunities
Career opportunities for Graduates with a Master's in Economics include academic and operational research sectors aiming at interpreting economic situations and trends in single sectors or markets and in the global economic system. This field of analysis aims also to formulate adequate intervention proposals, to support operational decisions of private companies, particularly in the financial field, and public administrations.
