Program Outcome
Learning Outcomes
The Programme aims to:
- Leading the students to a deep knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- Providing metalinguistic knowledge as the starting point for further interlinguistic and translation activities
- Providing the tools to organise complex written discourse, according to the scientific/academic style, or just a highly elaborated form
- Leading the students to a deep knowledge of English and American culture, through literature and the history of literature
- Provide links both with core disciplines (Italian literature, philosophy, languages) and with akin and integrative subjects, aimed at widening the specific knowledge in many fields, following the interests and choices of the students.
Therefore, the main goal of the Programme is to help the students become confident in moving through these fields and to give them reference points to learn, research, and be original.
Through an interdisciplinary approach, the Programme aims to:
- Creating a stimulating environment for intercultural discourse
- Linking English culture and language with Italian culture and language, but also with the languages and cultures of the international students
- Stimulating and improving already in-use learning methodologies, to follow a process of internationalisation
The Programme is aimed at native and non-native English speakers.
