Introduction

Rocky Vista University (RVU) is a premier institution dedicated to training healthcare professionals to serve the diverse needs of communities across the globe. With campuses in Colorado, Utah, and Montana, RVU offers a range of programs designed to prepare students for successful careers in medicine, health sciences, and related fields.

Programs Offered:

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO):

A comprehensive four-year program that emphasizes a holistic approach to medicine, integrating traditional and modern practices to prepare graduates for diverse medical careers.

  • Master of Medical Sciences (MMS): Montana Campus

The Master of Medical Science (MMS) program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in medical sciences, preparing them for advanced careers in healthcare and further professional studies.

  • Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences (MSBS): Colorado & Utah

Designed for students seeking advanced training in biomedical sciences, this program prepares graduates for careers in research, healthcare, and further professional studies.

Rocky Vista University (RVU) is a health-sciences institution of higher learning spanning three states: Colorado, Utah, and Montana. Each campus is equipped with a simulation center, standardized patient rooms, expansive active learning classrooms, a full gross anatomy cadaver lab, a research lab, a large library, and many study spaces throughout the buildings. RVU takes pride in its experienced and talented administration, faculty, and staff, as well as its exceptional student body. A strong sense of community is evident at RVU.

The founding campus is located in the town of Parker, Colorado, just 20 miles southeast of Denver. The community is known for its excellent school system, extensive biking and jogging trails, recreational facilities, dining, and entertainment, as well as a wide variety of arts and community events held throughout the year.

Rocky Vista University's second location is in Ivins, Utah, 10 miles from downtown St. George. The Southern Utah campus also includes a 23,000-square-foot medical office building across the street, for administrative offices and a medical clinic. Additionally, the Southern Utah Veterans Home, which is adjacent to the campus, provides students with longitudinal care experience. The breathtaking Snow Canyon State Park is just 5 minutes from campus, which offers biking, hiking, and other recreational activities.

The Rocky Vista University's third campus is located in Billings, Montana, the largest city in the state. The flagship Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine (MCOM) sits on 12.8 acres and will house a 138,000-square-foot technologically advanced medical education building. The building will also have a yoga studio, a well-equipped fitness center, and expansive green lawns with walking trails to promote student wellness. The Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine will have the distinction of being the first four-year medical school with a dedicated campus in the state and welcome its first class in July 2023.

RVU is owned by RVU Holdings, Inc., an indirect subsidiary of Medforth Global Healthcare Education Group, LP, and Bear Holdings, LP.

Admissions

The RVU Office of Admissions works closely with the Dean and the Admissions Committee to coordinate all aspects of the new student recruitment process including the recruitment, application, interview, and matriculation process. The department is responsible for marketing the college to health advisors and students to support the enrollment of students who will advance the college's and university's mission and vision. We are here to assist you.

Whether you are currently in college, just graduating, out in the workforce, contemplating a career change, or thinking about possibly becoming an osteopathic physician, feel free to contact us. Scholarships and Funding

The University and the RVU Alumni Association offer several scholarships to incoming students each year. These scholarships are offered in the form of partial tuition waivers. Scholarship information and applications are available annually, during the spring prior to enrollment. Scholarship applicants must complete a separate application and supply all required supporting documentation for each scholarship they are applying for by the deadline. Award recipients are announced in July.
