The profession of an architect combines many creative and technical parameters. An architect in his activity in the design and construction of buildings and structures is individual and original, guided by harmony and beauty laws. The architectural activity has limitations on objectively existing conditions, the main of which are the benefits and durability of architectural objects and the terms of architectural order. Architectural structures, building technologies are continually becoming more complex. The competence of a modern architect is determined by many factors and is enshrined in several legal documents, the composition of which is approved by unique government acts. In current conditions, separate areas have emerged from an architect's profession, for example, urban planning, design. Some specialists can develop space-planning solutions; others can create a visualization of architectural objects. However, in general, architectural activity is always aimed at implementing the most daring and innovative projects.

Master students participate in the development of innovative design solutions for their possible implementation. Also, students take an active part in competitive projects. Throughout the training, under the guidance of experienced specialists, students study in depth a block of disciplines under the general title: "Integrated design in a digital environment."

Every year, students undergo practical training at the Student Design Bureau of the Engineering Academy of the RUDN University, at design institutes and architectural bureaus, such as JSC MOSPROEKT, LLC VNIINTPI, etc.

- to carry out their duties in the field of research and design of architectural objects and elements of the environment and its components (buildings and structures, small architectural forms, landscape objects), to exercise control over the implementation of projects;

- to perform communicative, intermediary functions in relations between the customer, construction contractor, local community, and other interested parties in the formulation, explanation, and promotion of design solutions;

- take part in the management of the design process, the organization of the design firm, the administration of the architectural and design industry, and the process of creating an artificial habitat at the local and regional levels;

- graduates can engage in teaching activities.
