Curriculum

The aim is to prepare competent and well-educated personnel in the field of economics, who are able to analyze the processes taking place in modern economics, who have knowledge of the functions of contemporary economics. This study enables students to acquire:

  • a broad knowledge of financial, human and material resources,
  • the ability to analyze and interpret economic phenomena and processes (at both the macroeconomic and microeconomic levels)
  • the ability to analyze current economic and social occurrences,
  • the theoretical knowledge and practical base which are necessary to start and run one's own business,
  • the ability to use advanced analytical methods to study economic phenomena and processes, to model a course in an economy which is open to international competition,
  • the competence to prepare projects, render consulting services and make rational decisions related to the acquisition and use of resources by both private and public entities in Poland or abroad.


A good economist should have both an exact and humanistic knowledge, and by logical cognitive processes be able to provide solutions to economic problems.

Future Work Perspectives

Graduates, because of solid theoretical knowledge and obligatory practical experience, are prepared to work in enterprises, public and non-governmental institutions or organizations as:

  • office workers in public administration (governmental and self-governmental),
  • specialists in the analytics of economic phenomena,
  • economists in Polish and foreign enterprises,
  • economists in financial companies, banks, insurance companies and other companies,
  • specialists in international and European Union organizations,
  • office workers in institutions, foundations, and non-governmental societies.

Additional Advantages

  • Students are prepared to analyze professionally information, which supports the decision making process.
  • The studies are subject to the European Credit Transfer System. ECTS allows Erasmus program students to complete a part of their studies abroad at the Polonia University’s partner universities. Because of bilateral agreements, they can study in Canada, Mexico or Thailand, too.
  • Some of the core and specialization courses are delivered in English.
  • Graduates speak one foreign language at the B2 level, according to the Council of Europe: Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
