Program description


The master’s program is advanced training program in the field of Theoretical and Mathematical Physics. Its goal is to provide students with fundamental knowledge and latest advances in this sphere and to educate experts, who can deal with contemporary methods and theories, innovate and develop issues of theoretical and mathematical physics.


The program consists of lectures, laboratory and practical classes, students’ research and practical work. Besides the theoretical aspects the master program provides learning of classical and modern mathematical physics, thus program curriculum includes such disciplines as Quantum Field Theory, General Relativity, Group Theory, Particle Physics, Nonlinear Field Models of Particles.


Learning outcomes


Graduates of the program will have competences and skills to do scientific work and to carry out practical research in Russian and foreign laboratories and institutes.

Admission requirements


Bachelor or specialist degree in Physics, Mathematics of related fields;

  • English Language level – at least IELTS - 6, 0 TOEFL iBT – 79;
  • Basic knowledge of Russian is welcomed.
