Program description


The relevance of this program stems from the fact that the contemporary problems of agronomy are closely related to various factors of ecological, economic and technological nature. Biotechnology in plant protection, in turn, will help to provide high-quality production and disease-free planting material for a wide range of crops.


Particular emphasis of the program curriculum is focused on such methods of agricultural biotechnology for plant protection, as tissue culture and plant regeneration from callus, chemical treatment.


Learning outcomes


Within this program students will learn the major factors that threaten plants, their causes, as well as the methods and theories of plant protection.


Career opportunities


Graduates of the program will be able to get a job and to realize their professional and personal potential at both the research institutions and in the field of agrarian business.


Admission requirements

  • Bachelor or a specialist degree;
  • English Language level – at least IELTS - 6, 0 TOEFL iBT – 79;
  • Basic knowledge of Russian is welcomed.
