Introduction
OSU's Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering program is located at OSU-Tulsa and places the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology in a unique position to conduct world-class education, research and technology development and transfer in advance materials of strategic importance to our nation. The field is expanding into a period of unprecedented intellectual challenges, opportunities and growth. Products created using materials science and engineering research contribute to the economic strength and security of not only the state, but also the country.

Scholarships and Funding
Almost all doctoral students are supported by a graduate teaching or research assistantships which come with a tuition waiver and a minimum stipend of $2,300 per month. Many Masters students also receive graduate teaching or research assistantships. Students are responsible for university and college fees. If a non-resident student enrolls in 20 credit hours in a year, they will be responsible for approximately $6,800 in fees. Additional scholarships are also available in the college and individual schools.
Curriculum
Four research focus areas have been identified by industry leaders in and around Tulsa, with Materials Science and Engineering as the overall umbrella. These focus areas include Materials for Energy Technologies, Bio-Materials for Medical Technologies, Advanced Materials for Aerospace, and Materials for Electronics and Control Technologies. Tulsa-based industry leaders also identified "materials" as the "core" discipline at the HRC.
