NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service prepares public service leaders to translate ideas into actions that have an effective and lasting impact on the public good. Our faculty’s research changes the way people frame, understand, and act on important public issues. We provide our students with critical skills, access to all that New York City has to offer, and a deep understanding of the context surrounding public service challenges—which they use to improve cities and communities across the globe.
Our offerings are diverse and designed to cater to a wide range of interests and career goals. Whether you aspire to be a dynamic leader in the nonprofit sector, shape health policy, or craft urban planning solutions, NYU Wagner has the right program for you. Our degree options include the Master of Public Administration in Public & Nonprofit Management & Policy, the Master of Public Administration in Health Policy & Management, the Master of Urban Planning, the Online Master of Health Administration, the Master of Science in Health Law and Strategy (offered jointly with NYU Law), the Master of Science in Public Policy, the Executive Master of Public Administration, various Advanced Certificates, Non-Degree options, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration.

Application Process
What to anticipate when you apply to one of NYU Wagner's Graduate Programs
Verification of Materials:
- All submitted applications are evaluated for completeness and accuracy before they are moved forward for review.
- If additional materials or information are required, applicants will be notified via their Status Page and provided an opportunity to submit any required materials prior to the posted deadline.
- Please note that it is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all required materials are received by the relevant application deadline. Applicants should refer to their Status Page regarding the status of any required materials.
- The Admissions Committee will be unable to review an application until all required materials are received.
Application Review:
- Once an application has been verified, it will be moved forward for review by the Admissions Committee.
- The Admissions Committee will review all application components, including academic history, work experience, essays, test scores, and letters of reference. Please review NYU Wagner's Admission Criteria for complete details on what we look for in all candidates.
Admissions Decisions:
- Completed applications received by 11:59 PM EST on the respective application deadline will receive an admissions decision by the corresponding decision release date.
- Admissions decision release dates may be found on the application timetable above.
Admissions Notification Possibilities:
- Offer of admission
- Offer of admission to a program different from the one you applied to
- Denial of admission
