Introduction
Welcome to the NUS Business Analytics Centre
The NUS Business Analytics Centre (BAC) was established in 2013, in collaboration with IBM, to develop the skills and knowledge of professionals in business analytics. In a 5-year partnership that ensued, with IBM contributing industrial knowledge and NUS offering academic expertise, BAC offered and hosted the NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) programme. Based in Singapore, students, both local and international enrolled in this master's degree programme are trained to meet the growing demand of companies who are looking to improve their operations through business analytics.
NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) students are well-equipped with the expertise to excel in the data analytics field and serve a variety of industries such as retail, finance, information technology, healthcare and supply chain. To date, 300 industrial analytics projects have been accomplished by NUS MSBA students, with the institution developing valuable partnerships with over 100 organisations.
NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics Programme (NUS MSBA)
The NUS MSBA offered by the NUS Business Analytics Centre (NUS BAC) is ranked Asia No. 1*. Aside, the two schools which supported and co-designed the programme’s curriculum, namely, NUS Business School and NUS Computing, are also first in each of their fields within Asia.
The NUS MSBA is a multi-disciplinary programme that facilitates experiential learning through a balance of intellectual academic rigour and hands-on applications. Upon completion of the NUS MSBA, the students would be able to understand, formulate and use relevant data science techniques and tools to resolve complex business analytics problems in various industries such as finance, retail, information technology, supply chain, healthcare etc. and graduate with a skill that is highly sought after locally and internationally.
Graduating Requirements
The Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) can be taken either as a 1-year (13-month) intensive full-time programme or a 2-year part-time programme. The corresponding maximum candidature periods are 2 years and 4 years, respectively. The programme comprises 8 modules to be completed in two regular semesters alongside a one-year (13-month) capstone professional consulting project. Full-time students will be matriculated in the month of August, which is the start of the academic year and complete their studies in mid-August of the following year.

Curriculum
Students must complete 8 modules – 5 essential and 3 electives. The NUS Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) capstone module will be a year-long module in the form of capstone classes, industry analytics seminars, and a 3 – 6 month full-time^ capstone project.
