Founded in 1908, the Modul brand stands for more than 100 years of excellence in education. Modul University Vienna offers cutting-edge education on an English-speaking campus from teaching to administration. MU research

The international experiences and global networks of faculty advance the university’s research. Since all programs offer research-driven curricula, Modul University’s international faculty are engaged in innovative research which has developed substantially. The departments and their faculty focus on 18 different research foci, which form the basis for the research output presented here, consisting of almost 815 publications, one third thereof in peer-reviewed journals, 68 funded research projects, 625 conference contributions, thereof more than 160 invited presentations, and 32 major awards for academic excellence. MU is ranked in the world’s 25 top-performing universities in top-cited publications by U-Multirank (2018).

All study programs are accredited by the Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria (AQ), a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). Tourism programs are additionally accredited by tedQual, UNWTO, and Themis

Your home away from home: accomodation

To live the full MU experience, many students live in dorm residences with private bedrooms and bathrooms and shared living space. There is no student residence on campus, instead, we cooperate with three local private student accommodation providers in prime locations. To make your transition into university life as smooth as possible, MU will help to ensure you have a reserved room before arriving in Vienna.

Library

Our library offers an extensive selection of books, academic journals, and online resources. The library is on campus and accessible at regular opening hours.

ICT

The Information Systems Services (ISS) department is responsible for user support and the development and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and internal applications. Wifi on campus.

Campus

Our campus is located at beautiful mount Kahlenberg in the north of Vienna next to the vineyards and wild forests. The location makes it possible to do sports close to campus or simply enjoy the view on our terrace. All University buildings, including the canteen, are located there. It takes you about 35min by public transport to all popular city stores.
