Introduction
Master in Intelligent Embedded Systems
The Master in Intelligent Embedded Systems is a top-quality education in intelligent embedded systems, with world-known expert teachers, considerable industrial involvement, personal mentors, and world-famous student projects.
About 99 percent of all computers today are embedded – they are found in cell phones, game consoles, digital cameras, cars, airplanes, medical equipment, home appliances, humanoid robots, etc. These systems are getting more and more intelligent to meet the specific needs of their users. Intelligent embedded systems belong to the future do you want to learn how to design them?
The Master in Intelligent Embedded Systems features both theory and practice. The course provides state-of-the-art theoretical knowledge of embedded systems, artificial intelligence, and robotics (humanoids as well as industrial robots). The practical part is organized as applied projects on real industrial equipment. One example is the Dasher student project that uses embedded systems to develop the fastest-running robot on Earth – a unique project that has become world-famous, with many newspapers covering its development. Another project, Luna Resort, is even more ambitious. The goal is to build the robot Roony and send him to the moon in a NASA space rocket in 2012, to find a stable vacant lot and put a little read cottage on the moon as a symbol of what one man can achieve.
The Master in Intelligent Embedded Systems has eight industrial partners, all of them involved in the education through industrial projects for students, mentorship, and guest lectures. The Master in Intelligent Embedded Systems-students are assigned mentors from academia or industry to guide them through the entire education. There is also a possibility to study parts of the programme abroad at our partner universities, e.g., the Technical University of Eindhoven in the Netherlands.
