CF equips students with the skills required to engage in a successful career in investment banking and corporate finance. With the enquiry-based educational model, students will take an active role in their learning experience. To contribute responsibly to the development of our country, the University is announcing two scholarships to be awarded to deserving students who, having studied abroad, wish to return to Italy to
complete their university education here.
As part of its initiative to value excellent students, Luiss University is offering eight scholarships to students who have applied for direct admission for the first year of a master's degree program in the 2023-2024 academic with a currently valid GMAT or GRE certificate.
The scholarships consist of a full or partial waiver of the University’s annual tuition fee for the entire standard duration of the degree program. All expenses related to the stay in Rome and the purchase of learning materials are excluded from the scope of this competition and remain the responsibility of the student
I year a.a. 2024/2025
Cases in Business Law (Credits 6)
Doing business requires solid knowledge and a good handling of the legal framework. Competencies to be developed in this course enable students to govern the basic tools of business law on a domestic platform and in international practice.
Corporate Governance (Credits 6)
Students attending the course can learn models and theories that allow them to better understand the different models of corporate governance; analyze the corporate governance mechanisms of a specific company; to design corporate governance mechanisms.
Financial Statement Analysis (Credits 8)
This course focuses on the use of financial statements for analysis and valuation. Students will learn how to use accounting and financial information for the analysis of corporate financial performance and equity valuation and investments.
Quantitative Methods for Finance (Credits 8)
The course aims to enhance analytical techniques necessary for the management of financial instruments, corporate finance, and asset pricing. Students will acquire the quantitative skills necessary for risk and portfolio management. Application aspects will be developed through the implementation of case studies.
Advanced corporate finance (Credits 8)
The course has the objective of letting students build operative, excel-based models for capital budgeting decisions, stock valuation, and company valuation.
It will strengthen theoretical and methodological bases and present data cases to apply theories and methods to real-world problems.
Asset Pricing (Credits 8)
The course wants to introduce asset pricing techniques applied to derivative securities. Students will learn pricing and hedging methodologies in a stochastic modeling framework. The course emphasizes a hands-on approach, so there will be examples, and applications implemented on software packages.
International financial economics (Credits 8)
The course aims to provide knowledge and understanding of macroeconomic fluctuations and financial dynamics about economic policies, exchange rate regimes, and foreign exchange markets.
Students will learn to evaluate if and how economic policies impact investing and financing decisions.
M&A and Investment Banking (Credits 6)
The course has the objective of introducing Investment Banking, to M&A, an overview of the practical side of M&A transactions, and recent trends. Students will gain full knowledge of the general principles of Investment Banking and, the practical side of M&A transactions.
II year a.a. 2025/2026
Business Valuation (Credits 8)
the course aims to provide candidates with the main tools to carry out advanced business assessment and valuation.
Students will learn the main models of theoretical evaluation and how to identify evaluation problems and analyze the possible approaches.
Risk Management (Credits 6)
The course aims to train students in the management of banking and financial risks and business economic risks. In addition, the course examines the methodologies and techniques for measuring risks and the value of capital.

Program Tuition Fee
Graduates in Corporate Finance have the opportunity to work within finance divisions of large corporations, corporate banking and M&A divisions of investment banks, financial advisory and consulting firms as well as investment funds. In particular, the Programme enables graduates to undertake career in positions such as: Company Treasurer, Financial Analyst, Financial Trader, Investment Banker, Lending Manager, Private Equity Manager.
