Mathematical models and calculations are imperative for the successful development of technologies we use today. This master's program from Linnaeus University is designed to develop the knowledge and skills of students looking to contribute to mathematical problem solving and create new models.Students may choose one of three specializations:
- Analysis with Mathematical Physics: Offering a comprehensive education in mathematics, aimed at mathematical physics. Courses include complex analysis, distribution theory, and partial differential equations.
- Algebra with Cryptography and Coding: Study general courses in mathematics and modelling alongside courses in algebra, number theory, cryptography and coding theory.
- Mathematical Statistics and Financial Mathematics: Take courses in mathematics, stochastic thinking and statistic skills. Courses include probability theory, stochastic analysis, insurance mathematics and financial modelling.
All specializations end with master thesis work.
