The Master of Science in Business and Information Systems Engineering program prepares you in both business management as well as information systems within an international context. In our modern society, no organization can function without information systems.
The Business and Information Systems Engineering programme seeks to train multidisciplinary, forward-looking managers who can use information and communication technology to organize, optimize, and lead businesses in a rapidly globalizing world. These managers of the future will be able to rely on sound quantitative training in business economics, with business and information systems engineering as a key spearhead, and firmly grounded in the humanities as well as in engineering science.
The Business and Information Systems Engineering programme offers advanced quantitative and science-based training in business economics and its various business disciplines (accounting and finance, marketing, production, and logistics). It is analytically underpinned by insights from engineering science (mathematics and statistics, information, energy, problem-solving, and designing) but also inspired by insights from the humanities as the basis for a unique interdisciplinary approach to business management. A thorough study of business economics is combined with training in information and communication technology (ICT). The degree program focuses on the creation, integration, management, and use of information in a business context to support business management in a digital world.
Duration: 2 years (full-time), 120 ECTS
EEA nationals and non-EEA nationals who reside in Belgium under a valid residence permit can follow less than 60 ECTS per academic year and accordingly spread their studies over several years. This possibility needs to be discussed with a study career consultant. Note that there are no part-time, evening, or weekend courses organized for this category of students.
