Kentucky State University

Established in 1973, the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program at Kentucky State University prepares students for careers as supervisors, managers, and decision-makers in the public sector—from local and state, to federal government agencies. The MPA program is accredited by the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration (NASPAA). Our program courses are designed to develop student learning competencies as outlined by NASPAA to ensure students will succeed as practitioners in the public sector. Accordingly, the program is designed to prepare students to gain problem-solving skills, critical thinking competencies, program analysis abilities, and insight into the challenges and processes of public policy implementation.

Master of Public Administration (MPA)

The Division of Aquaculture and Aquatic Sciences, and the College of Agriculture, Community and the Sciences at Kentucky State University offer a Master of Science Degree in Aquaculture/Aquatic Sciences. Aquaculture is the rearing of aquatic organisms under controlled or semi-controlled conditions. Interest in Aquaculture has increased worldwide as fish consumption has increased concurrently with decreasing catches of wild fish. In Kentucky and the southern United States, aquaculture production focuses on raising freshwater species commercially. The curriculum meets criteria established by the University Programs Standards Committee of the American Fisheries Society for Fish Culture Specializations.

Master of Science in Aquaculture and Aquatic Science

The Master of Science in Computer Science program offers students the opportunity to combine a sound foundation and a professionally-oriented computer science education with the applied and in-demand skills necessary for today’s careers in technology. The Master's program is designed to be flexible enough to accommodate the needs of students who have completed an undergraduate degree in computer science and want to further their studies and those with degrees in areas other than computer science who seek to broaden their education in the discipline. All of our graduate classes are offered in the evenings or online.
