John von Neumann University is based in Kecskemét and is one of the youngest tertiary educational institutions in Hungary, and one of the most important educational, scientific and cultural centres in the Southern Great Plain region. The University’s legal predecessors have a history going back many years and boast longstanding traditions. It has three faculties: - GAMF Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science - Faculty of Economics and Business - Faculty of Horticulture and Rural Development.
We put great emphasis on the practical training of the students in addition to theoretical training. JvNJ received the title ‘University of Applied Sciences’ in 2016. Thanks to constant upgrading, the institution has modern infrastructure, well-equipped workshops, laboratories, a hotel-style dormitory, a library, an information centre, and sports facilities.
The University is linked to the regional economy by thousands of links, which can effectively build not only on education but also on the research and development activities of the institution. It already cooperates with more than 60 companies in the field of dual training. The University bears the name of the world-famous mathematician John von Neumann since 2017 and represents the scientist’s spirit in the University’s life too.
