Introduction

The Master in Management of sports and recreational organizations of the Jaime Isaza Cadavid Colombian Polytechnic and of the Faculty of physical education and recreation and sports arises as a response to the needs of Colombian sports that seeks managers, administrators, and managers for the thousands of organizations in the sector, both for private companies and state institutions. It is a necessary postgraduate course for a sports and recreational context that has about 1,120 Secretaries or institutes of recreation and sports in the country, in addition to thousands of sports federations, leagues, clubs, family compensation funds, gyms, and sports companies that they do not have professionals with postgraduate studies with an emphasis on sports and recreation.

The Master's degree, which is of deepening in the field, and specifically in sports and recreation, is also a response to the quality of the research groups of the Faculty of physical education, recreation and sports of the JIC Polytechnic, Gestas (“C” Colciencias ) and Comaefi ("B" Colciencias) who have impacted on the environment and have identified through their research, the need for a specific Master in Management of sports and recreational organizations, since they do not exist in the region.

It is about forming a Master with comprehensive knowledge in sports and recreation management, with the ability to understand the organization from administration, management, management, communication, innovation, projects, and marketing, based on their talent human and taking into account their culture and organizational climate, seeking to make them competitive and successful.

The Master's degree is part of the portfolio of the Faculty of physical education, recreation and sports of the Polytechnic, an academic unit that has historically promoted and offers technical, technological, professional, and postgraduate programs, but none in the field of sports management and administration and recreation, in Master's format.
