Introduction
Goals
The Master in Accounting and Finance is aimed at developing professional skills and qualifications in the fields of corporate accounting and finance. Its main objective is to develop skills and technical knowledge essentially in the areas of Finance; in particular, in Accounting, Taxation and Corporate Finance, as well as providing the opportunity to deepen these matters and to carry out an approximation to scientific research in these areas.
Addressees:
- Completing the 1st cycle training provided by a degree in accounting, management, finance, economics and other related areas. This is a professional Master's degree, with a view to ensuring that students who complete the course enhance their employability and future career prospects;
- To professionals in Accounting, Finance and related areas who feel the need to increase their knowledge and monitor changes in these areas.
At the same time, it is intended to develop research skills, directed towards applied research methodologies, valuing the application of acquired knowledge in the search for solutions to specific questions and problems, in the area of Accounting and Finance, with which organizations are faced.
The definition of the study plan and the distribution of credits by curricular units were defined with the objective of making compatible and balancing specialized technical training in the area of Accounting and Finance with general scientific training.
At the end of the study cycle, the Master in Accounting and Finance must be able to:
- Know and analyze, critically and fundamentally, the techniques, instruments and methodologies in the area of Accounting and Finance adopted by business organizations;
- Exercise a professional activity as a specialist in the preparation and interpretation of economic and financial information for the purposes of accountability and to support planning, decision-making and management control of private and public entities;
- Manage corporate taxation, in the interests of companies, in strict compliance with the law;
- Know the scientific works and the most relevant lines of research in the area of Accounting and Finance;
- Develop, under guidance, applied research projects and research projects on specific issues in the Accounting and Finance area.

Recognition of the Master in Accounting and Finance
By Order of 08-06-2012 of the Secretary of State for Teaching and School Administration, the Master in Accounting and Finance was recognized for the purposes of career progression for primary and secondary education teachers (it does not serve for the purposes of professionalization for teaching, namely in group 430). Accordingly, it is informed that the request for recognition for recruitment group 430, for basic education, 2nd and 3rd cycles, and secondary education, was granted.
