Objectives

This two-year automotive engineering program in Europe at master level (3 semesters & 1 internship semester) is entirely taught in English in both European automotive engineering universities ISAT Nevers & Polytech'Orléans.

This program aims at preparing future automotive student-engineers for a professional career with a broad knowledge in automotive systems adapted to the new trends (hybrid propulsion, electrical vehicle, bio-materials, alternative fuels, fleet management, etc.) while offering specializations central to the industry & research to meet these requirements.

A New Idea

Keeping the planet turning in the right direction will take a lot of brand new technical and creative know-how from engineers today. To respond to this imperative, Polytech Orléans and ISAT have combined their expertise and their facilities in the automotive field offer a very specialized program.

The new Master in Automotive Engineering and Sustainable Mobility taught entirely in English, is tailored to address this need and encompasses the entire dimension of today’s and tomorrow’s complex automotive systems in a real-life context.

The revolution in research tools in mechanics, materials, energy, and electronics allows our students to study total product performance - that means real-world experience closely aligned with industrial concerns.

This master program integrates creativity, technology, and labs with three semesters of study followed by one semester of an individual research thesis.

Takes You on to

Our graduates will be expert in the latest and most promising new technologies like alternative fuels, ecodesign, biocomposites and sustainable manufacturing as well as all aspects of mechanics, energy and embedded electronics. They will also benefit from a sharp focus on research and be able to:

  • Prepare a career as an engineer for industrial projects and services
  • Qualify to be a research and development engineer for leading companies and organizations, and
  • Acquire a valuable background in Ph.D. studies.

Course description

Core teaching units with a choice of two specialized options:

  • vehicle dynamics/intelligent vehicle
  • energy management & control for sustainable mobility

Environment

ISAT

ISAT is located near the French Nevers/Magny-Cours F1 circuit (2-hour drive from Paris) and offers a perfect setting for the student/future automotive engineer to work on innovative projects with the motorsport SMEs & major automotive manufacturing companies, consultant organizations as well as suppliers. Additionally, other career opportunities may be found as academic researchers in automotive engineering education thanks to a close network of research centers and public-private research laboratories.

Polytech'Orléans

Polytech'Orléans (a one-hour drive from Paris) is an engineering faculty and school that provides an extensive range of courses at degree and postgraduate level in the areas of engineering and technology. Polytech'Orléans is thoroughly involved in automotive research topics such as new engine concepts, energy management, aerodynamics in partnership with leading car manufacturers and suppliers.
