Introduction
Are you wondering how to train yourself for a meaningful job?
The specialized Masters in “positive energy building” (BE+) relates to the control of energy in the field of construction (thermal building). It aims to train engineers capable of designing buildings with low consumption (BBC) or positive energy.
It provides the keys and the tools necessary to meet the expectations and requirements required by the implementation of the recommendations issued by the Grenelle de l'Environnement and the energy transition law applied to buildings from the point of view of thermal and thermal energy. energy.

Scientific and technical project
Renovation project for an existing building, owned by a local authority or an association. This project, tutored by teacher-researchers from IMT Mines Albi , places students, grouped in three or four, in a role of assistance to project management.
Professional thesis
To complete the schooling and validate the course, an internship in a company (or professional thesis) lasting 6 months is also to be carried out with the aim of putting into practice one's abilities to understand an industrial problem in its broadest sense, scientific, economic, organizational, relational, human,…
Program Outcome
At the end of the MS “Positive energy building”, graduates take on positions with a high level of responsibility in R&D, study and design, project management and site monitoring missions:
- Study and design
- Regulatory thermal calculations and thermal dynamic simulation tools
- Optimized energy installation sizing
- Definition of the building (design/adaptation)
- Assistance to project management and architects
- Project manager and/or site monitoring
- Coordination of different trades
- Definition and validation of adaptations for the rehabilitation of existing buildings
- Control of achievements in relation to regulations
- Research and development
- Development of new techniques and energy systems optimized for the buildings of tomorrow
- Definition and development of new materials, Eco-materials and phase change materials
- Definition and optimization of Positive Energy building concepts
