- If no internship has been completed, conditions will be imposed.
An admissions committee decides whether the professional requirements and any conditions are met.
Summary
Building on your first professional degree, the Electrical Engineering master’s program provides you with in-depth specialist knowledge in the field of electrical engineering, so that you can apply scientific methods and knowledge to difficult and complex problems both in practice and in research. The content of the course is more scientifically oriented and is intended, among other things, to convey the ability to do a doctorate. You can choose between two majors for the course: general electrical engineering and renewable energies.
goals and career prospects
For graduates of the Electrical Engineering master’s degree, there are a wide range of employment opportunities both in large companies and in medium-sized industry in the construction, project planning and development of electrotechnical-electronic components, with the hardware and software sectors being equally included. There is no longer a branch of industry that can do without electrical engineering, electronics, computer and automation technology, so that it can be used in almost all large companies and in many medium-sized companies, regardless of the focus.
Program structure
The master's program consists of three semesters. At the beginning of the first semester, you decide on one of the majors in general electrical engineering or renewable energies. In-depth courses are held in two semesters, the third semester is used to work on your master's thesis. In addition to compulsory modules from mathematical, scientific and technical basics and comprehensive qualifications, such as project management or energy and environmental management, we provide you with application-related specialist knowledge on a wide range of topics in the two main areas in compulsory elective modules.
In principle, the Master's degree entitles you to take up a doctorate at a university.
