Master in Education

The National Graduate School of Education, Gangneung National University, newly established on March 1, 1995 in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 14539 on February 28, 1995, nurtures competent educational professionals who can serve the nation and human society, and prepares for the information society of the 21st century. The purpose of education is to foster creative and independent professional talents through the transmission of academic trends, and to nurture innovative and outstanding professionals who can solve problems across the nation's educational reality. Based on this, the following practical educational goals are set.

Cultivation of competence as an independent and active educational professional through the exploration of new disciplines suitable for the advanced information-industrial society and its essence.

Improving the practical ability to reform schools and educational fields through bonding with new educational theories.

Cultivation of creative and outstanding educational leaders through continuing education of professional knowledge that is constantly required in a changing society.

Cultivation of qualifications as an educational professional who can respond to the diverse needs of the local community and contribute to the development of the local community through the acquisition of major knowledge and higher degrees.

Cultivation of personality and qualifications as an education professional who can solve various problems in Korea's educational reality by developing their own talents and abilities with pride in the teaching profession and putting them into practice in the educational field.

Cultivation of qualifications as an education professional who will build an open education society, a lifelong learning society, and lead the establishment of a diverse education system centered on consumers.
