From the professional point of view, the work in the field of Systemic Family Therapy has started from professionals motivated by related therapeutic interventions. Systemic Family Therapy uses different models of intervention with proven efficacy and increasingly widely used.

In the country, there is a need to specialize with depth and breadth for the best and highest performance and job competence in the face of a family, partner, and individual demands that require a comprehensive response to their needs and problems of various kinds.

Considering the above, the Free University of Costa Rica presents the PROFESSIONAL MASTER'S PROGRAM IN SYSTEMIC FAMILY THERAPY, aimed at training future therapists in a systemic model, which allows them to intervene in a wide variety of clinical and non-clinical situations, through the training of highly trained professionals. The strict limitation to a small group allows us to offer intensive and individualized practice.

The theoretical knowledge about the different schools and models of Systemic Family Therapy is extracted from one's own professional experiences, from known stories, and from selected readings that are discussed and discussed in a group.

Aimed at: Graduates preferably in Psychology, Social Work, Health Sciences, Educational Guidance, Nursing and other related professionals (Academic Leveling).

Family therapy is a multi-disciplinary area of ​​care. The same history of the birth and development of Family Therapy indicates that different types of professionals have set the standard in the processes of therapeutic intervention with families.

Active and participatory work methodology:

• Presentations and theoretical discussions on readings.
• Therapeutic skills training.
• I work on therapy videos.
• Simulated Families.
• Supervision of real cases behind one-way mirror and work with a therapeutic team
• Supervised work as a therapist.

Faculty

Made up exclusively of Systemic Family Therapists with extensive experience in different professional careers such as Psychologists and Social Workers. All teachers with their corresponding postgraduate degrees.
