Master of Global Sales and Marketing
Are you interested in the cross-cultural challenges created by the globalisation of the world economy? Are you interested in working in the export sector or would you even like to go abroad and live an international life at least for a few years? Austria’s export economy has succeeded in setting international standards in many fields, notably in industrial plants, machinery and technical goods. These global operations generate a high demand for suitably qualified sales and marketing personnel. The Master programme “Global Sales and Marketing” (GSM) trains you to DEVELOP and MANAGE the future Sales, Sales Management and Marketing activities for international companies.
The language of tuition is ENGLISH.
The "Cross-cultural management and emerging markets centre" is also dealing with research projects concerning cross-cultural management.

- Degree: Master of Arts in Business (MA)
- Duration: 4 semesters (120 ECTS)
- Annual intake: 35
- Organisation: full-time (from Wednesday till Saturday, allows additional part-time work activities); part-time (Friday afternoon and Saturday + one intensive week per year)
- Admission requirements: Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in economics and English background.
- Application: Online by 30th June at the latest. As Non-European Citizen deadline is March 31st!

Program Outcome
Sales and Sales Management
You will be able to conceptualize, evaluate, push forward and control strategic sales decisions. You will understand the manifold layers of the subject „Sales“ out of the perspective of e.g. innovation, cross-cultural management, purchase and develop logical alternatives for proactive action for yourself.
B2B Marketing
You will be able to develop and push forward strategic Marketing concepts for investment goods including background challenges of cross-cultural character. You will acquire a profound knowledge of the specifics of organisational buying behaviour and you will be able to take Marketing-related decisions on the basis of profound analyses.
Cross-cultural Sales and Management
You will get a profound introduction to cultural differences and similarities around the globe in order to enable you to react in a professional way when faced with challenges of that kind. The compulsory semester abroad and field trips will give you further profound cross-cultural insights.
Practical skills
As a „University of Applied Sciences“ programme, we connect a complex structure of the scientific backgrounds needed with the immediate application in real industrial life, especially in the EU as the home market and in emerging markets.
Management and leadership skills
A special module will give you the chance to develop good insights into management and leadership challenges of an international job profile.
Specialisation
In semester 3, the programme offers an intensive specialization in both B2B-Marketing and Sales Management in order to deepen your knowledge in these fields.
The geographical focus of the programme is on the EU as the "home market" and on emerging markets.

The management of global B2B and service markets needs enthusiastic sales oriented leadership personalities who are able to develop and push forward complex sales processes for specific markets and their cultures.
