Introduction
Welcome to the HECTOR School of Engineering & Management, the Technology Business School of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The HECTOR School of Engineering and Management was founded in 2005 and was named after Dr Hans-Werner Hector, one of the co-founders of the SAP AG. It is located in Karlsruhe, Germany, only one hour away from the International Airport Frankfurt.
The HECTOR School offers part-time master programs designed for ambitious professionals. The master programs are more than typical MBA programs, as they combine management with engineering expertise. The school aims to aid talented young professionals in enhancing their competencies in innovation and technology management and in developing their strategic thinking and interpersonal skills through vital management know-how. The HECTOR School of Engineering & Management's goal is to help organizations improve their strategic capabilities in the field of technology development and management.
With Executive Master Programs, Certificate Courses, and Customized Partner Programs, the HECTOR School fosters the lifelong learning approaches of its industry partners and the executive development of its graduates. Admissions
University Qualification
First academic degree: Bachelor, Master, Diploma, etc. (University, University of Applied Sciences, Cooperative State University) in a relevant subject, such as Engineering, Natural Sciences, Information Science or Economics. In exceptional cases other degrees may be accepted.
Professional Experience
- A minimum of 1 - 2 years of professional experience in the specific field of the Master Program (depending on the first degree´s level); HECTOR Schools recommendation: > 3 years
- References are needed as evidence
English Qualification
English language proficiency is required, e.g. English as mother tongue or test certificate (e.g. TOEFL score of at least 570 PBT; 230 CBT; 90 iBT or IELTs at least 6,5 points) or appropriate proof of C1 level.
