Introduction
The Master of Science (MSc) in ASNAT is a 2-year program offering advanced and scientific courses in Satellite-based Positioning and Space Telecommunications.
Developed with the support of the European Commission and the European GNSS Agency, the MSc in ASNAT was created in the frame of SESAR project (Single European Sky ATM Research), which aims at developing a new generation of air traffic management system capable of ensuring the safety and fluidity of air transport worldwide over the next 30 years, Within this program, ENAC is contributing to research and training of future experts for the improvement of ATM infrastructure.
Recently, GNSS has gained a lot of attention worldwide due to a significant increase in the applications using GPS or other providers for positioning:
- leisure
- farming
- aeronautics
- location-based services, etc.
This international enthusiasm is confirmed by the worldwide development of other global and regional satellite-based navigation systems in Europe, US, China, Russia, India, and Japan, creating a strong need for experts in this field job.
Scope of this Master's degree
The objective of this MSc ASNAT is to provide students with advanced skills and knowledge in the field of GNSS (GPS, Galileo, inertial navigation, integrity monitoring, etc.) and its related applications to prepare them for entering the highly dynamic GNSS and GNSS-dependent industry. In addition, the students will also receive training in telecommunications, as both fields are strongly complementary.
This Master of Science on GPS, Galileo, Glonass, Beidou, and technology will provide students with a head start in the evolving and growing market of satellite-based navigation and telecommunications. The graduate students will have the ability to enter large companies, SMEs, national institutions, and research laboratories.
A European Partnership
This MSc in ASNAT was developed with the support of the European Commission and the European GNSS Agency, GSA (7th Framework Program under grant agreement no. 248016).

GIFAS Scholarships for information
ENAC Foundation has set up an international scholarship program funded by GIFAS (the French Aerospace Industries Association), to support non european students admitted in advanced masters, Masters of Science and the Graduate Engineer’s degree of ENAC.
The purpose of this initiative is to provide an incentive to high level students wishing to enrol in ENAC’s post-graduate programs. GIFAS and ENAC jointly select recipients among candidates to one of ENAC’s post-graduate programs:
- 5 advanced masters: MS ASAA, MS ATM, MS AM, MS SMA, MS UASSM
- 3 MSc: MSc ASNAT, MSc IATSED & MSc IATOM
- 1 graduate engineering degree master of science
Scholarship partially covers tuition fees, up to 4 000 €.

Career Opportunities
Recent studies have shown that there will be a lack of graduate students to fill the open positions in the GNSS industry in the near future. This MSc in GNSS provides students with a head start in the evolving and growing market of satellite-based navigation and telecommunications.
Hence, graduate students can join:
• large companies,
• SMEs,
• national institutions,
• research laboratories.
