Introduction
With this master's degree you will apply qualitative research, identify trends, design future scenarios and apply innovation methodologies to increase the adaptation and response capacity of any organization in the face of market changes and disruptions. You can take this master's degree in Barcelona or Madrid.
We live in an increasingly uncertain and complex world, where the only constant is change. In this environment, the competitiveness of any organization implies being strategically prepared for change at the right time. That is, it must adapt or transform before becoming obsolete.
Companies or institutions, faced with this new context, need a new type of professional who knows how to connect the current company with the exploration of future businesses, capable of identifying new opportunities and transforming them into solutions that add value in a sustainable and systematic way.

Cualquier persona que quiera estudiar un máster en Elisava puede aplicar a esta convocatoria anual. Recuerda que para poder participar sólo podrás optar a un máster (incluidos los programas de la Beca Fahrenheit). Si aplicas a más de un programa, tu candidatura quedará invalidada.
Másters Elisava: 15 becas del 50%
Otorgamos 15 becas del 50% del importe total del máster que elijas, con inicio septiembre 2024 o febrero 2025.
Curriculum
Master in Research for Design and Innovation consists of 60 credits.
Transverse modules.
- Business design: Acquire and understand the tools and methodologies. Develop “soft skills” necessary to become a disruptive business
- Critical essays: Apply critical thinking through debates and analysis of articles about the future and challenges of society
- Final project: Application of different knowledge, tools and methodologies to specific projects. The first will focus on identifying trends and designing future scenarios. The second, to improve or accelerate a company's innovation capacity.
Specific research
- Qualitative research: Apply methods and tools from sociology, anthropology, market research, and semiotics to discover new trends
- Trend analysis: Identify the most relevant trends and analyze their effects and implications to understand how user needs, behavior and expectations will evolve
- Future scenarios: Tools and methodologies to design future scenarios. In collaboration with Elisava Research, you will learn to apply different tools and methodologies during the Strategic Futures Lab
- Urban immersion: Discover the innovation ecosystem of the two cities with the most innovative ecosystems in Europe: Barcelona and Berlin.
Specific innovation
- Design Thinking: Apply design thinking to solve complex problems from a human-centered perspective through the following principles: empathy, critical thinking, ideation, experimentation, collaboration and action
- Service Design: Design services with meaningful interactions between people and organizations and create great experiences for customers/users in any context
- Co-creation: Create new values by collaborating with different actors and members of the business ecosystem
- Innovation seminars: Learn about innovation from established companies, emerging companies and design and innovation consultancies.

- Train resilient professionals capable of leading change and innovation responsibly in uncertain, complex and accelerated environments
- Train consultants with the ability to research, create and participate in innovation and strategy processes
- Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create appropriate innovation strategies

- Provide the tools, skills and knowledge necessary to transform relevant problems into solutions that add value to clients or users, companies and society.
- Develop team management skills in change environments
- Offer a space for interaction with other agents to work in multidisciplinary teams.
