Introduction
The Master’s in Zero Defect Manufacture for a Circular Economy is an internationally recognized double degree program backed by EIT and EIT Manufacturing. This program blends a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing science, encompassing equipment physics, and processes, with a focus on data analysis, including the application of acquired process data for ensuring process quality. Additionally, it emphasizes process management, with an emphasis on enabling greater flexibility for smaller batch production.
This program is an intricate fusion of various key components that collectively equip students with a well-rounded understanding of the manufacturing field. It encompasses an exploration of manufacturing science, which delves into the underlying physics of equipment and processes. This aspect of the curriculum provides students with a deep knowledge of the fundamental principles that govern the machinery and techniques used in manufacturing.
Furthermore, the program includes a comprehensive study of data analysis. Here, students learn not only how to gather and analyze data but also the methodology for effectively utilizing this acquired process data to enhance and maintain process quality. This ensures that graduates are not just proficient in gathering data but also skilled in translating it into actionable insights to drive improvements in manufacturing processes.
In addition, the program emphasizes process management, equipping students with the skills and knowledge required to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes. This includes an exploration of the flexibility needed for handling smaller production batches, a crucial aspect in today’s diverse manufacturing landscape. Graduates are thus well-prepared to manage manufacturing processes effectively, even in scenarios involving smaller lot production, thereby making them adaptable and versatile professionals in the field of manufacturing.
Upon graduating from the Master’s in Zero Defect Manufacturing for a Circular Economy (ZD) program, students will be able to:
- Apply their acquired engineering knowledge in Zero Defect to develop novel or enhanced methods, techniques, products, and services within their field.
- Demonstrate creativity in problem-solving, thinking innovatively to address real-world challenges, and generating fresh ideas.
- Formulate comprehensive plans and make decisions while considering future consequences from scientific, ethical, and societal perspectives.
- Translate innovations within the field into viable and successful business solutions, fostering entrepreneurial thinking.
- Collaborate effectively within small team settings, taking into account all pertinent factors and showcasing strong decision-making and leadership skills.
The EIT Label Certificate
All EIT Manufacturing Master degree programs are Awarded by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), the EIT Label is a certificate of quality and excellence for educational programs that are focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, creativity, and leadership. EIT-labelled degrees encourage innovative pedagogies and incorporate mandatory mobility schemes for students.
Internationalizationprogramprogramgeographicalfulfillment
The programme is a double degree programme with integrated, mandatory geopraphical mobility. This means that you will study at two European universities in two different countries that have partnered with EIT Manufacturing. Upon fulfilment of all degree requirements, students receive two degrees: one from the entry university and another one from the exit university.
